Description

How did we start...

Al Baik’s story began in 1974 in the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, when the late Mr. Shakour Abu Ghazaleh sensed the public’s need for high-quality food at a reasonable price, served in an atmosphere characterized by cleanliness and friendliness through prompt and courteous services. Shakur invested in this project all his savings that he gained with effort and continuous work, and he signed an exclusive agency agreement with a foreign company that allows him to use spice mixtures and special equipment for fried chicken, and he was the first to introduce the concept of fried chicken on the “broast” method in all the markets of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. .

Jeddah was expanding northward from the old city, and Shakour found an ideal location in the new al-Dakhil building at the intersection of Madinah al-Munawwarah Road with Palestine Street, and soon began building his first restaurant. Unfortunately, the project was halted because the electrical power supply had not yet reached this new building.

Shakur Abu Ghazaleh would not give up his dream or give up in the face of challenges and not seek to find solutions to them, so he converted an old warehouse he rented on Airport Road in Al Sharafiyah neighborhood into the first broasted restaurant in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and that was in September 1974.

In March 1976, a second Broast restaurant was finally opened in the Al-Dakhil Building - the location initially chosen for the launch of the restaurant chain.
